How to use

A short guide to Riddlepad.

Getting started

1. Click any puzzle type in the nav or on the home page. 2. Set parameters — size, difficulty, theme — using sliders and buttons. 3. The preview on the right updates live. When you like what you see, click "Download PDF".

Downloading PDF

PDFs are generated in your browser — nothing is sent to our servers. The file goes straight to your Downloads folder. If you want to skip the answer key page, choose "Without key" under "Answer key".

Sharing

Every configuration has a unique link. Click "Copy link" — your clipboard gets a URL that recreates the exact puzzle. Send it to a friend, child, or teacher — clicking the link opens the identical puzzle on their end.

Puzzle serial code

Every generated puzzle has a unique short code, e.g. "MZ1-8M90-A7F19C". You'll find it in the PDF header and in the live preview under "Code". The code captures all settings + the random seed — copy it or transcribe from a printed PDF, paste into the "Load code" field at the top of any generator, and click "Load" to recreate the identical puzzle. No account, no server contact. Codes are designed to be transcribed by hand: they do not contain letters I, L, O, or U (which can be confused with 1, 1, 0, V). Case-insensitive.

Keyboard shortcut: Space

Press Space in the generator to roll a new variation instantly (changes the seed). Perfect when you're hunting for a layout that just feels right.

Polish and English

The PL/EN switcher in the top-right toggles UI language and generator content. Word searches use the Polish alphabet (with ą, ć, ę, ł, ń, ó, ś, ź, ż) or English depending on the selected language.
